Full-featured management system for an auto repair shop with vehicle rental module, KPI dashboard and automated PDF quote generation.
The Challenge
PluriCar Service is an auto repair shop in Italy that also offers vehicle rentals. Before the management system, everything was handled manually: customer data scattered across Excel files, handwritten quotes, and no way to track invoiced vs. collected revenue in real time.
The owner needed a single tool to unify customer management, work orders, rentals and financial reporting.
The Solution
I designed and developed a custom web management system with the following modules:
- Customer database — centralized registry with service history and associated vehicles
- Work orders — creation, assignment, progress tracking and closure with automatic cost calculation
- Rental module — vehicle availability calendar, automated contracts, return tracking
- PDF generation — quotes and commercial proposals auto-generated from system data
- KPI dashboard — real-time overview with clear distinction between invoiced and actually collected revenue
The Results
The system transformed how the shop operates. Quotes that used to take 20 minutes now generate in 2. The owner finally has complete visibility over business numbers, and the rental module eliminated the double-booking issues that plagued the manual system.
