Community Management Platform
Management platform for a religious community with member registry, groups, event attendance tracking and internal communications.
The Challenge
The community had grown to over 200 members, but their management tools hadn’t kept up. Member information was scattered across Excel files updated by different people, group leaders had no clear view of their members, and event attendance tracking was approximative at best.
The Solution
I built a web platform using Next.js with PostgreSQL (via Prisma) and NextAuth for authentication:
- Member registry — complete profiles with photos, contact info, community role, join date
- Groups and departments — creation and management with leaders, automatic member assignment
- Event attendance — quick check-in via QR code or list, per-member attendance history
- Communications — internal announcements, notifications by group or community-wide
- Admin dashboard — active member stats, average attendance, growth over time
The Results
The platform gave leadership a clear, up-to-date view of the community. Group leaders can manage their members independently, communications are organized and trackable, and automated reports replaced hours of manual work.
